SAMEDA Bazaar

President's Message April 2023  Greetings SAMEDA members and community,  We hope you are all in good health and ready for more California sunshine.    Here  at SAMEDA we are busy planning two exciting events. The first one is  the first "Great Hafla SAMEDA Bazaar & Swap Meet" on Sunday, May 21,  1:30-4:30.   You will find many treasures, blingy things and dance wear  at great prices!   It is FREE to the public. Invite friends!  We will  host complimentary dance instruction by some of San Diego's finest  teachers:  Rachel George, Nikkal Feyrose, Nataliya Saborio, Lucia, Shani  and Ana Goebel, and dance  performances by SAMEDA members!  If you are a  member and would like to perform, call Ana 619.962.9392.  If you are  not a member, no worries-----you can join at the Bazaar and dance!  Our  main yearly event, the SAMEDA Faire will be held on Sunday, August 13.   We are excited to announce our two SAMEDA workshop instructors, Katrina  Ji who will give us an introduction to Rajastani and Kalbeliya dance  and Angelika Nemeth who will be teaching us Egyptian style.  And Lucia,  one of our local teachers will be teaching a complimentary class if you  arrive early to SAMEDA Faire!  So...you will get a chance to learn from  three great instructors!  Also, the SAMEDA Board will be meeting  on Sunday 12 noon, April 23, at Starbucks at Fenton Place, San Diego.   We have opened this meeting to SAMEDA members.  Please call me at  619.962.9392 if you are planning to come or have any questions.  See you soon!  Sincerely, Ana Goebel, President SAMEDA
